I've known Richie (Xentone) for over 10 years & there are 2 things I can say without a doubt about him: he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and this guy loves music. So when I started DT of course I had to hit him up for some beats! When I asked if he had any banging Detroit style techno tracks in the vaults for me, he generously offered to record some sets of the stuff he's been working on lately. Raw, funky and grooving, these sets do not disappoint.
First his Minimal Trip Dosage sets the mood and gets the juices flowing. Second comes his Desert Trance set, but it's not trance! lol I'd describe it more as listening for those times when you've taken perhaps a bit too many hallucinogens and find yourself IN a trance, dancing in the desert, possibly naked. You know what I'm saying, you've been there. Don't Lie. :)
Richie even threw in a 3rd set "Modern Masquerade (Furries Mix)" available only to those who purchase the album and a 4th set "Interdimensional Engineering", which he recorded live at the Space Bar, for free for everyone! See, I told you he's a nice guy. :)
So kick back, close your eyes and enjoy the psychedelic minimal techno stylings of my friend Richie aka Xentone.

"Casio tones make me think of the Super Nintendo and how the old WWF theme songs used to sound on it. The sound eventually grows so big it could fill an arena. It feels triumphant, as if something we were struggling to obtain this entire time has finally become within reach. I don't often think about the way albums come to a close, but with this cassette there is not only a feeling of closure by the end but also one of satisfaction. This is something you might not realize you needed in music until you hear it here." -
